Live...

.
You know, life is hard. Especially these days.

The media preaches nothing but bad news, the government (both parties) seem to dig our hole deeper.

We, the people, are on the front lines. We are living this everyday, while government prints trillions of dollars and mega companies get bailed out. Make no mistake, the government and big business are in it together. Both take our money, go on retreats and pay themselves more.

Meanwhile, we hit the streets everyday, doing what is right. Working hard to take care of our families.

This is not meant to be a political post. Personally, I belong to a new party called "The Common Sense Party." I think both of our mainstream parties fall in the "knucklehead" category so don't mistake this post for taking sides.

My point here is simple. Life stinks sometimes and even when it's good, we keep getting beat over the head with "no, no, no."

Well, I say "yes, yes, yes." Live. Laugh. Love. Enjoy.

Don't forget to escape. Don't be afraid to live. Don't let the media and goverment terrorize our minds and keep us paralyzed.

Work hard. Play hard. Live hard.

Get away and enjoy your family and/or friends. Even if it's just a weekend or a night - just escape.

Ocean City is close and we would love to see you here. But even if you don't visit OC, please just round 'em up and take an adventure. Rates are low, destinations are close by.

Our government makes big investments in God knows what. Let's make a small investment in ourselves.

Let's change the psyche in this country. Let's regain our spirit.

It does a body (and mind) good.

See you on the beach.

Get Ready... Rodney's Coming

.
Take your flip flops to work starting May 11. You never know... Rodney the OC Lifeguard may be showing up to rescue you to the beach.

You'll be seeing Rodney hitting the streets and the airwaves starting in May as Ocean City's new ad campaign launches for the summer season.

With rates where they are now, you should be running Rodney over to get to the beach - no rescue necessary. Rates from $49 this weekend for oceanfront hotels. Check www.ocean-city.com for the absolute best rates.

Off for a jog with the dog. Sun is setting soon.

Have fun in rush hour traffic.

See ya on the beach.

She's A Beauty

.
Mother Nature that is.

A weekend like this is a reminder that Ocean City really is God's Country.

Beautiful sunrises.
Dogs chasing seagulls on the beach in futility.
The waves calmly speaking to you.
The first flowers in bloom.
The birds building nests.
The GTO is out.
Jackets replaced by long sleeves.
High skies.
See forever.
Deep breaths.
Let the world go.
Sunsets on a peaceful bay.
Reflections of the soul.
Slight chill to keep the spirit clean.

Is there a better place?

I don't care to know.

Welcome to the Big Meaty Beach Blog

Here's where you will get the low down on what's happening in OC and how to get here, stay here and play here without needing a government stimulus check.

Some people say it is expensive to come to the beach. Sure, it can be, if you like the 5 star hotels and fine dining restaurants, but that's true anywhere. Shoot, we have rooms in an oceanfront hotel on the boardwalk for just $69.95 per night this weekend. That is a low rate guarantee.

Check out the best hotel rates on the beach at www.OceanCityInfo.com and www.Ocean-City.com. The "dash" means you are saving cash. There, you will also find the guaranteed best rates for this coming weekend.

And don't forget that green beer and cabbage is flowing the next few days. Sound like a lot of flatulence to me but I guess that's why we keep drinking up.

So open your mind and your eyes and Rediscover Ocean City.

We are close to home... and close to perfect.

Chat at you next time.
